Reporting to the Sales Representative, the Sales Intern will be a key member of the HarperCollins Canada Sales team. Our team is responsible for the sales, distribution and promotion of all HarperCollins titles in Canada.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to intersect with all stages of the publishing process and establish relationships in each department. You will be mentored by a senior member of our team and have the opportunity for one-on-one meetings with employees across the organization. Job Purpose:
The primary responsibility of the Executive Editor, Non-Fiction, is to identify, acquire and edit lead non-fiction titles for HarperCollins Canada Ltd. with vision and creativity. The Executive Editor pursues quality submissions from agents and unagented authors and commissions new titles from house authors and new authors with the potential for strong market performance, impact and rights opportunities. The Executive Editor has a sound understanding of the strategic direction for the publishing program, has solid financial capability with P&Ls, is able to identify legal issues and has highly developed negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills. The Executive Editor is a proactive team player who can work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders, while also having a clear passion for big ideas. The Executive Editor also represents HarperCollins in the publishing community at various events, and maintains strong relationships with agents, authors, the media, and the public.

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Brand Marketing & Communications Manager, the Assistant Brand Marketing & Communications Manager will participate in the development and implementation of the Harlequin Brand strategy and brand marketing and communications initiatives to drive brand awareness, equity and sales in North America.
In this role, you will contribute to the execution of brand marketing and communications initiatives; manage creative production for brand marketing and product teams, support the execution of the brand research program, manage brand marketing operations logistics in including tools, processes and best practice communication; act as brand liaison for author engagement and communications, organize and lead meetings, monitor compliance with brand identity and voice in all external communications and communicate updates to brand documentation to internal stakeholders in order to support the overarching brand strategy.
